The key to ANY good relationship (key word "any"; not just bf/gf, people) is communication. That's a valuable lesson I learned today. You can't let fear keep you from communicating your desires, lack of desires, problems, joys, etc. to the people who really need to know. That's a mistake. For that matter, you can't let protocol or wondering what other people will think keep you from doing what you want. And don't second guess yourself. Just do what needs to be done. I wish I had done that. Then I wouldn't have felt so hurt before and so foolish now. I live in a perpetual state of doubt, and I have to pull myself out of it. It's not a good place to be.
