My Celebrity Soulmate

ETonline: Who's Your Celebrity Soulmate?

I only say "woohoo" because I know that my real celebrity soulmate is Ben Affleck (Who else loves the "Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" as much as I do? He wrote a freaking TV series based on him!), and Matt Damon is the closest celebrity to him. Cool beans!

On another note, my MCAT score is improving with a new 24 composite. Yay, now I just have to go up 1 pt in VR, 2 in BS, and 3 in PS. Must study now...

I wrote a research paper on "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" a couple of years back. You can't forget a poem like that. . .or a title like that.

I know, it's my favorite poem. It was my initiation into real poetry and literary criticism when I read it for the first time when I was 17. I've written a post on it before, but it's a poem that calls out to you. Every once in a while I'll be doing something and then I'll hear, "Let us go then you and I/When the evening is spread out against the sky/Like a patient etherised upon a table..." I must have read this poem 300 times and I just can't get enough. Just wait till you read "The Waste Land." You could read that poem for 10 years and still not fully grasp its meaning. I'm thinking of doing my senior thesis on British Modernism just so I can study Eliot's poems over and over.
