Find Romance No Matter How Busy You Are

OK, so I was thinking about him all night and now that the chains are broken and I've come out of my cave into the sunlight I still don't know what to do. I thought about sending him an email with some lame excuse related to our class, but that just seems so lame. See, my whole life (when I was in the cave) since I couldn't communicate directly I used all sorts of indirect means. In middle school, it was passing notes, in high school instant messaging, etc. Now I'm in college, I'm an adult, and I should be able to go up to a guy I'm interested in and say, "I like you, do you like me?" If I send him a stupid email about class, I'm just hiding behind something again. I really wish he'd make the first move. This is so nervewracking. I wonder what it's going to be like when I see him tomorrow.

Since you two have a class together, couldn't you ask him if he wants to get together to study?

The thing is we've already had our midterm and we won't have another test until the final. Our other grades are papers, which people usually write alone. The rest of our grades are quizzes over books we read, but most people in the class read the books the night before the quiz. We also have some movies we're supposed to see for the class, so I was thinking of asking him when he usually goes to see the movies and then seeing if he wants to see them with me. Does that sound like a good idea?

maryam my dear,

you have nothing to lose. why not test the waters by talking to him right after class and seeing how he reacts to out of class conversation. walk with him. talk with him. find some way to get into off topic conversation.. halloween costumes/parties? jelly beans? whatever the devil you kids talk about these days.

he seems kind of sensitive and shy.. probably will like that you're confident enough to talk to him. if it doesnt work out, screw it. you tried. no harm done. yes i know, its easier said than done. but you'll feel so much better once you've found out where you stand.
